Allen Park, MI (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - The Detroit Lions extended the contract of
quarterback Shaun Hill through the 2011 season.
Hill was acquired in a March trade with San Francisco. He spent his first four
NFL seasons with Minnesota, then joined the 49ers as a free agent in 2006.
After serving as the third quarterback his first season in San Francisco, Hill
started 16 games and made two other appearances over the following three
seasons.
He threw for 3,490 yards with 23 touchdowns and 11 interceptions with the
49ers.
In Detroit, he'll back up second-year man Matthew Stafford.
